Was wondering if any one of you had problems with your alarm in the past where it just go off (sounding/lights flashing)
I done a search and check the bonnet switch as it was mentioned (clean it with electrical cleaner and check rubber for any cuts which may let water/damp in) I also turned down the sensitivity on the motion sensor under the steering wheel panel.
Any info or advice will be appreciated
Regards

Sorry the only time that mine has ever gone off (on 3rd LC now) was when someone smashed my window and nicked my stuff. I have found them to be very reliable. One thing that I have noticed is that when mine is set and I forget and try to open the rear tailgate, the alarm will go off. The rear lock is electrically driven I guess and this activity will set the alarm off. So maybe there is something linked to your alarm that causes a trigger. Not a lot of help I know, but collective wisdom and all that..

I have an 80 Series and my alarm goes off if I leave my Mobile Phone in it. (2.30am last night - Grrrrrr!).
Do you have any aftermarket stuff - radio/satnav that could be interfering?
I don't generally bother with the alarm much now, just lock it with the Key, just in case. Car crime is not really an issue on the West coast of Ireland.

Something as simple as a fly or spider will set it off.

No,there is no phone or sat nav in the car.
I have remove/un-plug the motion sensor this morning but it still went off.
Is it possible to un-plug the alarm/immobilizer????? and then just use the key to open/un-lock the doors.
Or can I just not use the key fob-not activating the alarm/immobilizer- |

Can't remember on this model, if you click it twice, doesn't it eliminate the internal sensors? The later models have a push button in the roof console. Worth trying that too.
