|
|
I have just purchased a 120-series Landcruiser. I have been giving it the once over this weekend and noticed something odd.
In the driver's side (right-hand) front wheel arch there are a set of vents which appear to lead directly to the back of the fog-lamp assembly. Due to the placement of this vent, the back of the lamp assembly is getting sprayed with mud and water. The wheel arch on the other side doesn't have a vent.
Can anyone confirm whether this is correct, or do I have something missing from the wheel arch?
Thanks,
James. |

Thanks for the pic - that's exactly the same on mine. At least I know it is as it should be.

had a look under the bonnet, and cant figure the reason for it other than something to hold 3inch's of dirt ... the only thing thats around that area is a small pipe to the cooler... _________________

It's the air intake vent. air is drawn up from here to the air cleaner.

The grill is a bit daft in terms of location.
The air "intake" proper is in the top rear part of the RHS wing facing backwards, so that you can cut a hole and fit a high level air intake or, now I think on it, maybe an intake grill on the wing along the lines of those to be found on a Landy. |
