That's been trashed in SA, and caused an uproar in the 4wd community, so much so that:
"I made contact with Alida Keller on Thursday. Alida is the Scheduling Manager: Afrikaans Channels for M-Net. I mentioned to her all the comments received about Kamp Dit Uit and especially the Baboons Pass thing. She responded saying that they have received a lot of negative comment on the programme. She also mentioned that she needs E-mails to provide to the decision makers."
and
"Thank you for your response and commentary on the programme Kamp dit Uit. We are a socially responsible channel and take any programming that does not adhere to our moral code very seriously. From the channel’s side we have contacted the production house responsible for the programme and instructed them to make a public apology for the episode.
We value the support of all 4X4 enthusiasts and will endeavour to create programming that stimulates and satisfies all our viewers. I hope this addresses your concerns."
Not a good example of what to do off-road, especially in an ecologically-sensitive area. The SA LandCruiser forum are having a serious hissy fit about this...

I don't blame them for having a fit over this one... So called "Gurus"!!! They just look like a bunch of idiots - yes it could be done, but why? To prove that with winching and dragging and damage to the track and vehicles anything is possible, errr, yes it is.
