Hi there not been on for a long time. Can any one give me any input on a up-grade DVD/NAV head unit.
I have a std head unit singal cd with navigation, and aftermarket ps2 with twin screens to rear headrests. Confused

I ordered this unit directly from china:
http://www.roadrover.cn/e/productshow.asp?id=139&mnid=19046&classname=%CA%D7%D2%B3%B9%F6%B6%AF%CD%BC%C6%AC

it runs on Windows CE 5.0 and comes with land cruiser wiring loom, 7" touch screen, Route 66 satnav for Europe (not the best out there but fine) , rds radio, dvd player with divx, mp3 player , usb (for external hdd), sd card slot, tv tuner and reverse camera support (camera and tuner sold separately), dvd changer support, bt hands-free phone, etc, etc...
You can use dvd for headrest screens, satnav and music playback all at the same time. I also installed oziexplorer for all my off road trips. It works just fine. There is a huge thread on pradopoint on this unit, search for roadrover and you'll find it.

The unit has some quirks here and there and you have to get used to it but it has all you need for the price. It fits land cruiser dash very nicely. Can be ordered directly from manufacturer in China but it takes sometime to get the email answered though. Paid about +600usd incl. shipping last year for the whole package. I also ordered some premade head rests from e bay...10" screens with IR stereo sound...
the whole set + headrest screens can be self installed with total costs not exceeding 900usd...(last year prices)
