It's very open and well patrolled by MOD Police and Range Wardens - you may get away with camping on this bit of grass Here behind the stones.

The Range Wardens will know you are there but they may allow it.

It's very near a nice pub as well.

Tommo of tommo&claire on the 90 forum has been in touch with the range wardens and can get info like this.

It does help that he is military.

I'm on a Farm in Devizes - if you get stuck and need somewhere to stop - I'm sure I could find you some space

(P.s. No I cant create an off road track on the Farm - the grass is our bread and butter!)  - Plus less than 10 miles to Salisbury Plain Smile

Bit of an area for camping eh?

Sounds like a plan.

What do you do with the grass?

Cheers! Sound advice.

If anyone else is tempted to try this puddle, bear in mind that the column separating the ruts is brick hard whilst the ruts are two feet deep.

I need new skid pans...
