Hello  following on from the other thread about the keyfob/alarm. I have just bought my landcruiser 2000 x reg vx 3.0td
i too only have the one key with 2 buttons  and would like  another incase of any probs  ive been searching and to me it seems that i have the tvss system would this be correct on a 2000 colorado? i dont mind taking the centre console out to get at the ecu but is it really as simple as it sounds  push a reset button for 2 seconds then push the buttons on the keyfob and that is it and repeat with the next fob.      Joe

ordered myself a new master key blank off e bay, so will try this reprogramming soon and get the key cut

discovered what is wrong with the disconnected alarm siren in my landcruiser, the nicad batteries in it had leaked everywhere in the past and shorted out the circuit board, so its knackered,

going to get one off an e bay breaker for another model of toyota as alarm looks same
i still have the 4runner one too, might see if that works although plug is different it still has 4 wires, just need to figure what each wire does

Hello Toafrica,
I had a look at that link that you very kindly provided, but it does not function.

But thanks anyway.

Alan.

Get help from a locksmith. Do not worry it is not that terrifying like everyone says. Here a Locksmith in Coral Gables I recommend. Talk to him
