I have an SWR meter, not the cheap one that wouldn't work on Garry's set up at Lincomb either but saying that we didn't try it again after he'd switched to UK FM channels. I'll try and remember to bring my anayzer which can be more usefull as well. _________________ Jon m0zxj

Cool - thanks for that, Jon!
Hopefully it won't take much to get it working properly!

Right - I've got confirmation that I'll be working this weekend so won't be joining in the fun at bambazonke (aka Salisbury) unfortunately. Have fun, folks, take pics, and don't break anything Jon
Cheers

Hi folks
I've often been intrigued about how much difference, different tyre sizes make to the speedo reading. Also i'd like to find out how acurate my own speedo is with standard tyres on.
So I have borrowed a calibrated lazer speed gun from work for the weekend so if any of you are interested we could do a bit of a trial at different speeds to see how far out your
speedos are with your monster tyres on or with normal tyres.
Just to have a play really, but it might be nice to find out
Sorry you can't make it Gary. Perhaps catch you next time _________________ Les

Not my call, Ian, but I don't see why not Gary has pulled out so if there was a limit to numbers, there is a space you could take!
It would be good to see you on Sunday!

Hi Rob,
I think Crispin was planning on coming too, with his shiny new 120, if that's ok on the numbers?
See you on Sunday!

I have bag (large) of biltong and roll of wors. It's been staring at me all week. I'll be there (if numbers / members permit) (Look for the nervous guy in the black 120) _________________ Cheers,

Looking forward to it. Will be bringing the clean straight cruiser, not the battered one you saw at Lincomb. |

Try this: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Wait for the page to load (can take some time). All the info you need is on there if you look carefully.

Does that mean no extreme driving and the rest of us won't be led astray now?

Don't go pointing that laser at anything military it might respond and you'll have BIG damage to worry about
Reminds me of the story of the two traffic cops that decided to see how fast an RAF Tornado was going and almost ended up as road-kill because the plane thought it was being targeted Pity the pilot called off the strafing run
GO BOKKE!! - oh - wait - we won - again - even having to play the Lions and the idiot Burger ...
