Leaving next week on a 1,400 kilometer trip to Inhabwe Village to do a bit of fishing; thought I would share the trip plan with you for something different.
10 June: Depart Durban with first stop 430 kms away at the Kosi Bay border post to enter Mozambique
After clearing Customs and Immigration we hit the sand roads for 110 kms (estimated average speed 25kph) to the ferry at Catembe which takes us over the Tembe River into the capital city Maputo. A short drive up the coast and we arrive at our overnight stop Casa da Sol - anyone who has been there will tell you this is the place for stunning seafood!
11 June: Depart for Inhambane 450 kms away where we overnight at Quinta de Santo Antonio and where the prawns are in abundance.
12 June: Drive the 330 kms of really shoddy road to Inhassora via Vilanculos (to pick up two of our party who are flying in). At Inhassora we unfortunately have to pig out on seafood again, buy bait, stock up on 2M beer and party.
13 June: Leisurely breakfast and then a 30 km drive next to the beach to our accommodation
....where we will unfortunately have to grind out the next ten days
The whole trip

I have a voodoo doll, and am sticking pins in it right now ......
Enjoy, Shaun - and watch out for the hijackers (you know the drill!!)
You can x-post your trip report here when you're back!

Thanks Gary.
Were in convoy - my 80, a LC79. a Paj and brand new Isuzu fully kitted out. The only hijackers we are likely to meet will be wearing uniforms and demanding bribes. |

Those will be the ones then!! Hope it all goes well - time I got back for an extended R&R up from CT to Beira, maybe even Dar, I think.
Now - where did I put those winning Lotto tickets
Have a fun, safe trip. Good thing no TATA products with you - you'd have to tow them the whole way _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.
