After hours of internet research, I decided to replace my old and tired road going tyres with a set of new shiny (for now) BFGoodrich Mud tyres.

Decided to go with 265/75 R16 as they were cheaper than the original 265/70 R16 tyres. The only rubbing was on the inside edge of the mud flap, but a few seconds with a spanner soon sorted that problem! Now I can turn full lock on both sides without any rubbing or catching.

Trouble is, I think it needs a suspension lift and a snorkel to complete the image!

I think they were a tad over £133 each from Camskill.

From what I can gather some companies are now selling the new BFG KM2, but I wanted the old style KM tyre because I think it looks better.

Ahh, Brother Si, that's looking mighty fine. I remember when mine looked nice like that. Err you couldn't spare me an off side wing could you? What with mine being the same colour and us both being 'special' members. it's part of the code you know.

A nice lift and a snorker would be ideal to start with.

Thats a mighty fine snorkel you have there! Wink

What do you think of it? If I get one, thats the one I would choose as you don't have to move the side indicator.

I know what you mean about the new ones looking better,looks like it has a more aggresive Shoulder,what are the muds like on the road do they make much noise,is the grip ok in the wet,can you notice any more noise,My fronts are looking a bit worn and may be looking for replcments in the near future.

Sorry to rain on your parade there Big Blue, but you DO have to move the indicator. You get a template and all that. It's an easy job. There is a very good fitting guide available. Be brave, get that saw out. I got mine from DIProtade. They're national I think. Snorkel is the Safari. Very well made. Fits nicely around the body. No wind noise or anything.

I like the look of the new muddies. Whatever, they wont be rubbish. Glad your locker is functioning. Now look after it!

Good advice Suvsteve. I normally try and engage four wheel drive (Hi & Lo), at least a few time a week just to make sure everything is still working. Every time I’ve tried to engage the rear LSD, all I got was the flashing red symbol on the dash. Which was why I was quite surprised today when the red light stayed solid and stopped flashing! occasion5
