IT'S FINISHED!!!
Got light brackets and squirter jets done today. Quick polish over, drilled some drain holes too which might be helpful. Off to the powder coater tomorrow. Hopefully going to look pretty good. Really looked proper with the row of spots on. Next pic will be it fitted with winch, lights and new recovery points.

Sometimes I have to remember that it may only be me that is interested in my complete ramblings. Nope. No pics. Would have probably trashed the camera if I'd had it with me. We'll just have to wait a couple of days for the finished item. Next time I see an ARB commercial bar, I will take detailed pics. And then see if I can get a plasma cutter that flippin' works!

Well call me a big kid, but I couldn't resist fitting it up tonight for a trial run. It'll have to come off again at the weekend to get everything wired up inside etc, but here's a ropey shot from my phone. Was still hot when we put it in the car.

Very nice indeed - now go get your dinner and stop playing _________________ I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it.

Very nice C, very nice indeed - well done.
I was looking at those lights (or similar) - are they the ones with a 'glow' ring when on side lights? _________________ Gav

No they aren't. Not having bling on my truck! I think they call them Angel Eyes. These are off a lorry actually. They are Britax. Converted the lamps to 12v from 24. They do have side lights in them, but I'm not wiring those in.
Would love PIAA, IPF etc, but have you seen the prices? I have 4 X Lites on the roof already. Never actually struggled to see where I am going, but I wanted to use them up instead of leave them in the garage.
I need the room!!

So thats 10 lights in all. Hmmm, does your truck slow down when you burn them all, and have you accidentally vaporised anything in your path? _________________ HDJ80, BFG AT's, grooved discs, OME 850/860's |

The main spots are only 55w and the X Lites are clever - they are 12v down lighters. Only 50W. Dichromic reflectors. Draw very little. Haven't had them on yet.
No I wasn't sure about the mesh either, but I didn't want to cook the rad.

Oh come on C, a little bling never hurt any one I recognised them as Britax straight away as virtually every lorry I see these days has an array of these bolted to the front/top of them & for the money, they seem fantastic value - they'll be what I get when I get round to it, probably with the ring light too if its available - Bling bling _________________ Gav

Labour of love. Well that and having no front diff so what the hell else was I going to do all Winter. Make another - I think not. Well, maybe. If fitted with the TBR winch box, which I might be able to manufacture an alternative to, then a steel bumper would not be so hard to make. It's making them all one that is the difficult bit.
The Britax lights are well made, decent price, but not what you'd call serious 4x4 lights if you get me. I kept trawling flea bay but couldn't find anything at the time. Have a look at Matt Savage, he stocks KCs and I went to look at them. Now they are nice and although not cheapies, they are reasonable and very very well made.
Well coming from the King of Bling I'd expect nothing else Gav my boy. I'll see what concessions I can make for you, OK?
