Hi All,

I've spent quite a while looking around for competitive insurance for my Japanese import Prado. I got the best deal with Norwich Union Direct.

They quoted me £376 for a fully comp, protected policy with £220 XS. My wife & I to drive, I'm 45 with one accident and an SP60 to my credit. The model is a '97 Prado TX, 5 door, 3.0 TD.

I mentioned this as most other companies were quoting £5-600 or wouldn't touch the import. Hill House Hammond came close at £380 but with a slightly higher XS. The companies promoted on this site were no use to me.

Happy hunting

Kittkattozzi, what age is your import? I'm paying about £650 with Direct Line for an N reg VX petrol, with a gas conversion. That does include business use though.

Didn't consider Norwich Union - can't stand their patronising advert!
