hi,
just had new discs fitted recently by local garage.  went to pull neighbour out of hedge yesterday and when i went to ock hubs, oe was already in "lock" position.  problem is that it will not swivel back to "Free".  suspect this has been like this since discs changes as i rarely used 4WD.  should i go back to them or have a go myself. have had them of before.

Sounds like the tab on the spring behind the face has not been located but as the garage did the work perhaps they should fix it. To fix it you don't need to undo the cone washers so it may be worth unscrewing the face and checking.
